"I hope that in future, the world will be more aware that terrorism is not an approach that should be done to achieve any goal," he told reporters after opening the Open House celebration of Vaisakhi 1 Malaysia at Dataran Merdeka here.
Najib said the Malaysian government has taken the attitude against any form of violence and understanding of extreme or outrageous.
"This is consistent with the principles of Islam in the killing of civilians is strongly prohibited and forbidden by Islam," he said.
He said Osama had used Islam in his struggle and had a fairly negative image of Islam and the bad. Commenting on the actions of the United States, Najib said that despite taking 10 years, the victims will continue to demand vengeance against violence inflicted on civilians who are victims of murder.
Touching the actions of Al-Qaeda network on the national security threat, he said, at present, there are signs that members of the group was in the country.
However, he said police will be on high alert to detect any group that wants to threaten national security because of sympathy with the death of the founder of the group A-Qaeda.
"This is a blow to Al-Qaeda does not mean they will be buried at all, we can not assume that everything has already expired.
